"Trinket"
My Golden Trinket
"Trinket" has been with our trainer since she was just a yearling! This palomino, Saddlebred, mare is 14-years-old and has been there, done that! Shown as a saddle seat show pleasure horse in her youth, she now competes in the hunt seat division. Trinket is our go-to lesson horse because she is fun and safe for all ages and skill levels. Put a beginner on her and she will take care of them... Put an advanced rider on, and she can really act like a show horse! Trinket can be ridden saddle seat, hunt seat, western, or even bareback! She is also a breeze to drive. Lesson clients love that Trinket will suck on her tongue for minutes after receiving a peppermint (her favorite)!
"Charlie"
Charlie Chapman
"Charlie" is a 14 year-old, bay, Hackney Pony gelding. Before coming to GGS, Charlie was shown successfully as a roadster pony! We broke Charlie to ride and he has been a dream. Measuring in at a mighty 12.3 hands means he can't carry all riders, but he is a wonderful lesson pony for riding and driving. SUPER easy and fun to drive... Very quiet and patient with his riders as well. This little guy provides the "fancy show horse" feel in a tiny, safe, package. He has been shown under saddle in an incredibly large academy class, and didn't put a foot wrong! Charlie likes to grab his hay in comically large chunks and throw it around his stall.
"Buttons"

"Buttons" is as sweet as he is gorgeous! This guy is a 10-year-old, bay, Saddlebred gelding. Buttons is reserved for our advanced riders solely because he moves like a show horse. Buttons is 5-gaited and has big, bouncy trots and canters. He is a good-thinking guy that is a blast to rack around on. He has been successfully shown in the 5-gaited country pleasure division. Charlie (the pony) is his BEST friend. Buttons always has his tongue out...He licks EVERYTHING...If you aren't careful, he might just give you a lick!
Keeping our lesson program running here at Golden Glen Stables requires a lot of time, work, TLC and unfortunately, money. Each horse requires feed, bedding, medications/supplements, farrier care, veterinary care, and other supplies. Please consider sponsoring a lesson horse to ensure the horse/pony receives the proper care and items it requires. Any amount (donation) is welcome and immensely appreciated. However, we are offering three different sponsorship levels with incentives for those interested.

*Please note which horse/pony you are sponsoring, if you have a particular one you would like to sponsor. General donations to GGS are of course, accepted and appreciated. In addition, please note if you want or do not want any of the incentives...they are just that, incentives...they are not required. For monthly updates, please provide your e-mail address.
